ACTOR KEVIN MCKIDD JOINS THE AMERICAN ROGUES IN NY

When Scottish actor Kevin McKidd heard the AMERICAN ROGUES would be headlining National Tartan Day in New York City, for which he was the Honorary Chair, he asked to join them on stage.  They performed several AMERICAN ROGUES songs together, as well as Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here", and the band learned "These Are My Mountains", a beautiful song from his album, Speyside Sessions.  Kevin is known for his roles in Trainspotting, Grey's Anatomy, Rome, Dog Soldiers, etc.  He is an absolutely fantastic guy and everybody there had a fantastic night!  MORE VIDEOS HERE: www.kevinmckiddonline.com

AMERICAN ROGUES JOIN THE EMERALD POLICE SOCIETY

The performers and staff of the American Rogues are proud to announce that they have just been asked to become card-carrying members of the Police Emerald Society of Baltimore.  Just as our support of the troops is unwavering, so too do we support those who keep us safe at home, including the police, EMS, and firefighters.  In fact, we're proud that two members of the band, Lyric Todkill and Corey Walden, are firefighters, Joe Heeter (band business manager) was a police officer, Carl Hunt (band advisor) was a police officer, Deak, the man for whom we started DEAKSTOCK many years ago was military police, and Nelson's father, Nelson Stewart, Sr. was a police officer for 35 years.

T.A.R. TO PLAY BOSTON IRISH FESTIVAL

The AMERICAN ROGUES just confirmed that they will be playing at the Boston Irish Festival in June where they will be opening for Irish music legends, BLACK 47.  We can't wait to get there!

AIR FORCE SYMPHONY SHOW A GREAT SUCCESS

Recently the AMERICAN ROGUES were honored to once again appear with the Air Force Symphony Orchestra at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.  Over 3000 people were in attendance as we played several favorites, including the full version of the Gael.  Video to follow!  Thanks again to all of our loyal fans for attending.

NEW EP RELEASED!

The ROGUES are pleased to announce the release of our collaboration with the very talented singer/songwriter, Arjay Sharp (www.arjaysharp.com).  Arjay found us and asked if we would contribute some Cetic flavour to his work and when one song became three we had an EP on our hands.  Think "Elton John Meets the Rogues"!  You can hear and purchase the songs at www.reverbnation.com/arjaysharp

AMERICAN ROGUES INSPIRE AUSTISTIC GIRL TO SING

This is a really nice story. You may have read on the "Fanecdotes" page of our website about a young girl named Allison who was autistic but spoke for the first time when she heard us playing on stage. After that I often brought her up to join us because it clearly made her very happy. Last night I received the following message:

"Ms. Allison recently returned from an audition for America's Got Talent. We won't know if she made it or not until sometime in the spring but we also provided a video audition. From the child stuck in autism... you gave her an avenue to talk, sing, and FLY!! There really is nothing we can do to repay the light you brought into her life. So many blessings.  www.youtube.com/watch

Mary and Sakeeta Ehlenfeldt. (Legal Guardians of Ms. Allison Lewis...the mouse that roared.)"

Thank-you so much, Mary and Sakeeta... you just made all of us very happy.

NATIONAL TARTAN DAY IN NEW YORK CITY!

We just confirmed that we will be performing as part of National Tartan Day.  In addition to headlining the party we have also been asked to march in the parade and perform on the roof of a double decker bus.  Previous honourary chairs include Scottish actors Brian Cox and Kevin McKidd.

ROYAL NOVA SCOTIA INTERNATIONAL TATTOO

The ROGUES are proud to announce they have been asked to perform for the full run of the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo in Halifax.  The Tattoo is known as the "World's Largest Annual Indoor Event".  We will be staying in Nova Scotia for 2 weeks as we have also been asked to headline the 150th Antigonish Highland Games, one of the oldest Games in the world.  To appear at both of these events is a great honour for us as Nova Scotia is widely known as the home of some of the best Celtic music in the world.

NEW SHOWS IN EUROPE!

On the heels of our successful tour of Asia we've just learned that we'll be playing in Italy and Spain in March for the men and women of the U.S. Navy.

THE AMERICAN ROGUES ROCK THE TROOPS IN ASIA!

The Rogues are proud to announce they've just returned from their tour of Asia where they performed for members of the US Military and their families.  Performances included Andersen Air Force Base (Guam), US Naval Station Guam, Camp Shields (Okinawa, Japan), and US Fleet Activities Sasebo (Japan).  The response was very positive and the Navy has already started planning a European Tour for March.  Thanks again to the troops for all they do.

NEW DRUMMERS AND MD IRISH FESTIVAL!

The ROGUES are proud to announce the arrival of their 2 newest members: Catherine Hauke, formerly of Coyote Run, and Chris Smith.  The future is looking bright indeed as both bring a wealth of skills, including snare drum, drum kit, bodhran, hand drums, etc., as well as fantastic energy and stage presence.  We can't wait to show everybody the new look of the band so make sure you come to the Maryland Irish Festival in Timonium on Saturday, November 10.  Our shows are 2:00 PM at Stage 1 and 8:30 PM at Stage 2.  See you there!

25,000 PEOPLE AT FLOYDFEST!

July 30 -- The Rogues had an amazing time at Floydfest in Virginia on the weekend where organizers told us there were 25,000 people in attendance. The response was overwhelmingly positive when we shared the main stage with Grammy winners Alison Krauss and Bruce Hornsby. Thanks again for all of your support!

Our Independence Day show on the roof of the Canadian Embassy in Washington was a smashing success!  We met a lot of great people, got to hang out with the Canadian Ambassador, and we've already had interest in related shows.  This photo was our view from the stage with the Capitol Building in the background.  What a great day!
